Get Out!!!by jaxterComment: First of all, thanks to all of you who commented and voted. A very special thanks going out to Gelert who selected it as a favorite.
Creature hit the nail on the head. The blur comes from camera shake and not motion blur. It was a hand-held shot and taken at the local zoo. This guy was actually sitting in the back of his habitat when we showed up, then he wandered out and I swear began posing for all the people with cameras, including a flurry of roars. Perhaps reminders to anyone thinking of jumping the fence to get a closer shot (well, it did cross my mind). In this shot he was actually stretching. I really liked that his hind quarters being in the air made the illusion that he was caught in mid-leap. This shot was my first to score above a 6, so I am very pleased with the results.

Cone Flowerby 2mccsComment: Very nice composition... I love the way you have the other flower en-bokeh in the background. Well done! 9 |

Stubby Tree in Fog at Twilightby jaysonmcComment: wow... hope you can accept some constructive criticism. This shot has much potential, I think the multiple colors would really make and exceptional contrast. Here's where you went wrong... Nothing is in focus: might try using manual next time if your camera has it; The posts: they got to go, end of story; Very pixelated: Could be that you oversharpened, but I suspect it is more likely too low of an ISO. Was it pretty dark when you shot the photo?
I love the composition (other than the posts) and like I said I think it has great potential. You should try shooting this one again. 3 |

Ordinary Flower. Extraordinary Bokeh.by TejComment: I would have to agree with your title... very extraordinary bokeh. This is a prime example of how bokeh can really enhance a photo. Very sharp features on your subject and very well composed. 8 |

Flora(l) Viewby AVPComment: Beautiful arrangement, did you make it? The city makes a lovely backdrop, but I would have moved it away from the window. The sunlight highlights every scratch and speck of dust which is very distracting. Otherwise well composed. |
