Kids Never Slow Downby zefram47Comment: I normally ignore titles...thinking that the image really should tell me all I need to know. However, it was the title that made me look, again, at your shot and see the time-exposed images of the children. Very subtle and very well done. |

Sittin' Waitin' Wishin'by simplesilentComment: This is a really nice shot. To my eye, however, it would be even better if you could have decreased the density a bit. There is so much contrast that it almost looks cluttered. Nice shot though. |

Soft Babyby maxlevayComment: this is a nice shot but it looks over processed somehow. Almost like the baby is wearing makeup. Still giving it a good score though. Again...nice shot |

A Few Days Too Earlyby heathenComment: This is such a nice shot and I really see what you wanted to do. However, the road stops before it completely brings the eye to your subject (the mountain). As a result, the S-curve almost appears as an accident rather than a purposeful compositional tool.
All that said, this is still a wonderful shot. |

California State Route 35by vaarComment: this is a nice shot and does a good job of using a curve to lead the viewer's eye through the picture. Unfortunately, the sun didn't cooperate and it's a little too dark. |

Goosedby zefram47Comment: Not trying to be mean here but as part of the purpose of this site is to learn, teach and become better photographers, I wanted to make mention of the point of the challenge.
An S-Curve is a compositional tool, like the rule of thirds or leading lines, that helps in making the image stronger. Normally, the S-Curve is to lead the viewer's eye through the image or to the subject. I've noticed a lot of submissions that simply include an S shape somewhere in the image but this misses the point.
If used properly, the S-Curve is a very powerful compositional tool. While your shot is nice, the "S" that you've included is really just an element and doesn't really lead the viewer's eye.
I do hope you'll take this as I mean it. I certainly don't mean to criticize your image. |

marshby annakiya33Comment: I'm not sure what the horizontal metal-looking thing is at the bottom. At first I wasn't really sure why it was there but after spending a moment or two looking at your shot, I see that it does server to anchor the image and acts as a "start" for your curve. Nicely done. |
