When Water Breaks Free.......by kenskidComment: Good choice of content. I'm feeling like you need to crop in from the left. The tall tree is framing the building nicely, but then you have this gap of blue sky that holds the eye and keeps it from focusing on the house. On location, moving closer and to the right would help. This is also a good candidate for some more post processing. Looks like it is straight out of the camera.
Boost the contrast. Darken the corners, particularly in the sky.
good work. |

Forsakenby muur88Comment: This is a great image with a compelling narrative. What is that man doing? Is he grieving? Is he part of a funeral procession?
Technically everything is good. Only thing that comes to mind is using PSCS2's lens distortion correction to fix the building. (It looks like it is falling over and not perpendicular to the ground.) You could also experiment with darkening the upper corners to keep the eye in a bit, but it works fine. 10. |

"Have you seen HOW FAR it is to the finish line?!"by front_elementComment: Sorry karmabreeze, I like the the bib numbers. Without them, the subjects wouldn't have as good as a reference point. I think it is a great photo and I gave it a 7. There is some image grain, it looks like, on the face of the woman on the left. The lighting is a bit harsh for dpc/fine art audiences. Overall, I love the moment and probably should have given it a 10. |
