Natures Pancakes

Wow. Pancakes for sure. This is a tricky scene for lighting. There are obvious flash shadows, but if you diffuse it, you might end up with very boring flat lighting that doesn't show the details. Off camera lighting might be the better option, maybe even light painting with a torch.

Nice colours. A little extra sharpness would go a long way.

This is certainly one of the more inventive entries in the challenge. I love the different colours, the crisp edges and the clear reflection. I like the composition, but maybe a little wider DOF would improve the clarity on more of the leaf, or maybe pushing the focus point just slightly further back. Hey, did somebody just get a new macro table? :)

I got totally the opposite impression of this image from everyone else. This is the sort of scene you see in a movie when there's some phycho walking around outside, about to break in and kill them, or the guy inside has a knife that she doesn't know about, and there's gonna be blood soon. I'm just waiting for something awful to happen with this photo. I can still see what everyone else sees, but I see the unshown contrasting side as the main emotion here. Hmm, does this mean I'm a psycho?

This photo has shades of Lord of the Rings, with her beautiful long hair and this hood. Go to a local costume place, organise a real cloak and staff, go somewhere ethereal, like a green misty forest with a waterfall, and you could get some really magic shots. :) Edit - hey I just checked some of the other shots, and you already have the staff and the location. You gotta get a cloak!

Good to see you are so famous, and everyone immediately knows your work. Not last, but well done to get on the last page.

Nice toned BW. I like it, but others might not score it well due to the not-so interesting subject.

Funny title. :) Probably a good choice to focus on the hair and not the eye, as the hair stands out more.

Nice bokeh, but maybe just a little too saturated?
