This is amazing, my pick for the top.. great use of light & shadow, the juxtaposition between old style gaming and technology (in the timepiece) is truely imspiring.. 10 all the way!!

Nice idea, but overly contrasty and bright. It almost hurts the eyes to look at it.

Must be whiterook. The posterization doesn't help this image, IMO. I might suggest to move in to frame the chessclock and a few pieces, rather than capture the whole table and incidental background.

Photo is out of focus and the colors on the chees board are way off. The desk and old door in the background are distracting

Focus is poor, "white" chessmen are blown out, connection to challenge is obscure.

For me, the cluttered background is very distracting. If the chess pieces were more in focus or perhaps if you moved in for a closer shot, I would have scored this better.

Hi Stephen. It looks like you got some camera blur in the white pieces. I suggest using a tripod. The background is a little distracting, but otherwise good composition showing technology as well as the old game of chess.
