I like the colours. It's nice to see gold and some pastel overtones in a night shot, instead of the usual orange that everything seems to come out. Unfortunately it's a little soft for me. Some USM would help a lot, and also some curve adjustment for real black in the shadows. Possibly cropping could also be improved for a better composition, instead of the centred view. I'd crop out the left and top to put the opera house at the rule-of-thirds point. Also, yes, the boat trails could be cloned out.

I like the star effect for something different, and the water reflections are amazingly soft, which is a great look. Nice capture, and with a few little changes, this could be a really great shot!

A lot of background detail make it a very busy image, and the fountain is almost lost. I also agree with the other comment on the green. It's a little overwhelming, and looks a bit like a color balance issue.

This will score badly for focus. Going for the brown ribbon?

Nice colours, but it's a very non-Seussish train, so for me, it fails to convey the topic. Wow, they must be high weeds to show in the reflection!

This is a nice photo of some ducks, but might get voted down for a stretch to link it to the challenge.

Wow, I'm pretty sure this photo is going to get hammered for that border! And possibly for not going to the effort of taking the ham out of the packet and frying the eggs like in the picture book. It's not wasting it - you can still eat it afterwards. :)

The lighting is a little flat, but it's not so bad. Nice expression!

Nice idea, although it has ended up looking a bit over-edited. It's a pity the image had to rely so heavily on editing to fit the challenge. While you were at it, the sky could have been a richer colour.

Nice monkey! The vignetting looks unintentional. It might be better to smooth it over a bit, and make it look like editing (regardless of whether it was in the original shot or not). Nice use of 3rds
