Ripplesby Mike_AdamsComment: No matter how good a duck looks...it will get creamed here at DPC. For a duck to win, he would have to be photographed getting picked up by a UFO...and even then, it better be a dammed good shot! |

Focused Chargeby hahn23Comment: Obviously a zoo shot. If this would have been in the wild, you would have been attacked. Also...the goat and the background are almost the same color. Hanging up a blue sheet with some clouds painted on it behind the goat would have made this a much better shot. Message edited by author 2008-10-27 10:01:37. |

obama.jpgby alanfreedComment: Did you even read Obama's quote?
an additional doctor who then has to be called in an emergency situation to come in and make these assessments is really designed simply to burden the original decision of the woman and the physician to induce labor and perform an abortion
If a baby is born alive after a botched abortion "an additional doctor who then has to be called in....is really designed simply to BURDEN the original decision of the woman and the physician to induce labor and perform an abortion."
A doctor coming in to save the baby is infringing on the woman's right to an abortion.
You simply can not spin this any other way.

Simply put: no. From the Factcheck article you posted: "The main bills under discussion, SB 1082 and the federal BAIPA, are both definition bills. They are not about what can and should be done to babies; they are about how one defines "baby" in the first place. ...there are already laws in Illinois, which Obama has said he supports, that protect these children even when they are born as the result of an abortion." |

obama.jpgby alanfreedComment: Here is the exact quote:
Obama, Senate floor, 2002:
[A]dding a – an additional doctor who then has to be called in an emergency situation to come in and make these assessments is really designed simply to burden the original decision of the woman and the physician to induce labor and perform an abortion. â€Â¦ I think it’s important to understand that this issue ultimately is about abortion and not live births.
***kenskid***
this is public record...the full quote (before the [A]dding listed above) went something like:
If a baby is born alive and ...an additional doctor...
or If the fetus is delivered alive...an additional doctor....
but the full quote above is enough...it is saying that calling in another doctor (for the baby born alive) is REALLY DESIGNED SIMPLY TO BURDEN THE ORIGINAL DECISION OF THE WOMAN AND THE PHYSICIAN ...TO PERFORM AN ABORTION...
In other words...to save the baby that was born due to a botched abortion would infringe on the woman's right to choose.

obama.jpgby alanfreedComment: I'll dig it up for you...it was recorded when he was a state senator. I heard it myself on a newsradio show...don't remember which one...I'll find it.

I didn't make it up....he said this. |
Odd, is this from an alternate reality. Can't find anything on this- Source please???
Or do you mean at one point or another in his life Obama has used all these words and you're just assembling them here?
Just did a lexis-nexis search- nothing. |
