Illuminationby xuan768Comment: this looks like one of those images that looks different on many monitors but looking closely I can see the mysterious feeling and color here.
I think the angle and crop lack drama though - but I see where you're going with this. i dig it. 6 |

Polar Express New York Styleby GeorgeLentzComment: You should be proud of this submission - I think the title might help but I wish that it wasn't there ... Since this became something altogether new when you photographed it. i would like to see the black spot on the center bottom removed - but overall this is unique and a bold submission. I was trying to think of an alternate title .. no such luck - yet. 8 |

Memories of Summerby jimmythefishComment: I'm tring to put a finger on why this is so ikeable ... I think the extreme contrast from sun to shadow and then to the extreme dark shadow on the left and in the distance creates drama. The over-hill horizon feeling adds to the emotion like heading up a roller coaster. You did well not to oversharpen this since it is more about light than the details of the objects. Very nice. 9 |

Snowy Egretby ubiquitousComment: People at dpc like to say that centered images are not as good as images that are using the rule of thirds - this is arguable in theory and on this photo ... I'm not really sure - but i think this might be both - if cropped just a smidge tighter - the lighting is great and the bird and tailfeathers are interesting and detailed -- I've found these birds to be quite cooperative in photos :) 7 |

Sunlightby AranchaComment: This is beautiful but since I have experience altering my own photos i can see that the horizon area remains altered-looking (soft and too perfect in an unnatural way ... or at least appears to be altered. The colors are wonderful though and it still has a unique and intriguing feel to it. 7 |
