"Dirt" Poor...by sfarrell23Comment: This is a great subject - The look on her face could mean so many things ... but this doesn't scream poor to me. Embroidered cardigan, bottled water, woven bag ... OK - so perhaps these are the spoils of a day asking others for help - but success in begging just reduces the feeling of poverty that's all - Squeezing into the challenge to say 'dirt poor' might be a stretch. Based on the image alone - I would have liked to see a bit more of the surrounding area. 6 |

OINKby whiteroomComment: Don't tell me I am what I eat! ... the grungy treatmment here is great. Composition looks just a bit slanty and almost-centered. 7 |

Refugeesby idnicComment: I'm not sure how well a studio and mud-faced children works - I like that one madel faces the camera, as if asking for help while the others are just too weak and disheartened. |

Growing like a weedby Jaded_HousewifeComment: It must have been interesting to decide what expression the model would have - perhaps there was only one choice. I like the clean background and specks of dirt - The hair is sorta funny because it seems so perfect under that dirt :] I'm trying to figure out what would bring this together more for me I need to feel more connection between humanity and the plant - like maybe his fingers become roots - at this point is just seems like a cruel Anne Geddes satire - if that's the idea, it's GROWing on me as I write this. |

Weatheredby KHoltComment: awesome. the only thing that would make this better would be some interaction between the man and the instuments of his sport. |

Scavengerby Bear_MusicComment: This has so many great things about it but I can't help but think that the pose seems unnatural - as if the camera is so close that the man is trying to allow focus on the background and himself by leaning back toward the window. This has huge potential for some sort of message It think - especially with the mannequin head. also: Taking away the logo hat and fleece jacket could make this more timeless me thinks. |

Dirtpile At Sunsetby tomcatComment: This has a nice yin/yang composition ... but it needs more contrast - Perhaps since the light was behind the subject, it was too tough to see the dirt? |

Blood and goreby BoltiComment: Definitely gritty and scary - great colors and beautiful model - the crop makes the pose look a tad forced. |
