Best fit for this challenge that I've seen so far. Some of the areas are a bit blown out but IMO this is great. Don't be too down if you place highly, this is more of a front page of the sports section shot than a DPC ribbon shot.

Very beautiful, nicely captured. Not quite sure what the triumph is though, unless it's catching lighting on camera. It's not too hard to do with a long exposure and an electrical storm, though I don't have any this nice looking =]

Image is too bright and the girl is out of focus (or camera blur?). I also am not sure how this is a triumph unless she swam a long way to get here, in which case there's no way of telling that in the photograph.

Ready for Flight

Would have been more triumphant if the bird was in flight, or at least trying. Decent shot, but me personally am looking for something that looks more as though it was taken for this challenge, and not just some picture with a title that tries to connect it to the challenge. That being said, it appears slightly out of focus (or maybe a 100% crop?), also, the lighting is a little wierd. It looks like a straight-on flash which is a bit on the harsh side considering the shadows that are thrown onto the bird.

Oh yeah, and, I like this shot. Might have added some more depth if you put a giant DPC ribbon on the screen of the laptop. Even so, cool stuff.

I think the picture is supposed to meet the challenge at least a tiny bit without relying entirely on the title. Though it is aesthetically pleasing.
