Sorry you didn't finish higher. I think this picture is superior to any of the top 3 in this challenge, in that it meets the challenge on more than one level... How the one mask contrasts the other mask by them being so different, how the whiteness of the masks contrasts the background.. It's not just a good picture that happens to have a few dark and light areas. In my mind this should have easily won a ribbon.

Great photo but I don't think it captures the essence of 'high contrast'. It would have scored high with me if it met the challenge better. I only see a few spots with *visual* high contrast, and nothing that contrasts anything else by the other meanings of the word.

PS: in this challenge I was looking for photos that contain both visual high contrast and things that contrast eachother in different ways. Your photo is still very nice.

Beautiful photo but I don't really see what makes it so high contrast. Would have been a 9 had it suited the challenge more. Still a 7 though, since it's beautiful and has some minimal dark and light contrasting parts.

Very interesting photograph. This type of unique looking photo can get away with being 'high contrast' only in color/shade of the photo. A well deserved 8.
