Gone Fishingby Nikolai1024Comment: Took me awhile to find the circles. This might have been more effective if the right side of the picture had been cropped so the rod would be emphasized. Nice sunset, though. (I've done the same thing and got criticized and praised for it at the same time. Go figure). |

Crop Circlesby SJCarterComment: Crop Circles...and a pyramid. Interesting juxtaposition. ...and a nice shot. |

Made in Americaby CoozComment: Nice use of symbols to carry out your concept of "obsolete". Photo looks a bit out of focus on the machine. Given the symbolism of Singer I am not sure that adds to the shot. Overall, though, I gave you high marks. |

Self Serveby eweikComment: I imagined the setting sun as an apt metaphor for the end of this motoring era. Same with the tree stump (I bet the tree was still standing when this pump was active). Lots of nostalgia in this shot. Terrific composition. A little bit of Norman Rockwell in this one, I think. This photo not only captures the obsolete pump, but an entire obsolete time. Nicely done. |

Beyond retiredby ShutterPugComment: I enjoyed this photo. DOF seems a little too shallow as the front end looks a little fuzzy (on my monitor anyway). |

Off the Shelvesby hannafateComment: Eureka! I had fun with this shot... Back in my day "Quest" was a deodorant powder... I suppose now I'll have to stop using my tincture of merthiolate... didn't know it was obsolete. hehe. |

Obsolete Hay Balerby jasonarmComment: I liked this photo quite a bit. It looks like it was over sharpened, though. Still, nice proportions. |

Metal Catwalkby chaliceComment: Thanks for the comments. I knew the sunset would be a distraction for some voters while appreciated by others. Sometimes you do what you want to do no matter what the outcome. All comments are appreciated. Thanks. |
