courtney.jpgby tmb1070Comment: What a great model! This would be even better without the trampoline in the bg. Did I spell that right? I like the soft focus and the bark on the tree gives great texture to the image. |

Branch: Bearer of Good Timesby johansecComment: *Critique Club*
Well first off, the contrast and focus is a little weird. The colors seem dulled and oversaturated at the same time. And that is exactly why---I LOVE IT!! Your choice for the theme was just brilliant. What kind of rope is that? It looks flat. I used to swing on a tire rope all the time as a kid. This brings back such fond memories of my childhood in the country. That is probably why I am so fond of it. Oh yea sure you could re-take it with more focus and the noise but I think I would leave it the way it is. It kind of reminds me of a memory. Memories are not in focus nor do they look perfect. It's great!! Keep being creative and good luck in future challenges!!

A Branch of Meby mandradeComment: *Critique Club*
As a parent myself, I definatly feel that a child is a branch of a mother or father. Cute kid, by the way. I see where several improvements could be made. One is that the childs foot is cropped off. For this image I feel that it would have been better to have the entire body, or in a different pose from the waist up. Another suggestion would be that if we could see what the little photographer was shooting. I love that he is squinting, that is sooo cute. The colors are nice but the brick wall is kind of "bla". Overall I think it was a great try for the branch challenge. You went out of the box and didn't photograph a tree branch. You are so brave!! Good luck with future challenges!!!

Your image is perfect. There is nothing that I can even think of (and I did for 2 days) that would make this image any better. The high contrast in the clouds and on the building are just enough to make this work without it being overdone. This picture is so surreal looking. I absolutely love it and would buy it in a heartbeat.
