I love the grainy look, I like the desaturation and I really like how she is looking off to the side. I would suggest to crop off some of the top, the crop you have now makes her appear very short, I would also place the subject off center to make it more interesting.

I think this is amazing!!! The texture in the feathers looks so soft. Beautifully cropped. I would have given you a better comment during the challenge but there were so many to vote on. The colors are bright and look great. There does seem to be some noise. I was grasping for something to suggest and I had to look a long time to find that. It is just really hard for me to give suggestion to a photo as great as this one. So my critique is....AWESOME PHOTO! You kicked my butt.

I personally feel that this shot is technically perfect! The only thing that I could make a suggestion for would be that if you are going to go above the bang area for a crop, you should include the entire crown of the head. I would have left a little space above her head or I would have cropped the photo a little below where the bangs grow out of her head. Just a little rule I go by, doesn't mean that I am right. She does look a little sad. Maybe if she was looking straight ahead and not up a little, her expression would be a little different. Very nice photos Travis!!!

I really like the crop. Her hair is perfect for this! I like how her hair fills up the frame almost completely. Focus again...spot on! Very nice photograph, but the contrast seems a little flat. That may have been your intent, so ignore that if you want. Her face just seems a little too dark to me.

Focus is wonderful. I really like the straw hat with the overalls. This is a very typical portrait shot where I am from. It is also cute when you have the pants rolled up a little showing thier bare feet. I really like the background. I think that the lighting is fine on the baby, but on the rim of the hat it is a little too bright. Could probably be fixed with processing. I don't think that it is too much of a problem where you would have to re-shoot. I love the expression on the face. If I was this childs mother...I would be very pleased.

Great photo! You look pissed off! Is this how you are going to look at those scared boys that come over to take out cute little Gracie when she turns 16? LOL J/K!!! Great lighting on this photo, really. The cig is a nice touch...makes you look very serious. You should flick those ashes though.
