Simian Solitudeby aboutimageComment: It's hard to see an image as good as this at 136th place. When I see comments like 'I think this would have been stronger if the simian was actually the main subject of the photo' (no offence to Alienyst)I despair. It misses the whole point of such a beautiful, subtle, ARTISTIC image. I give up.

Ancient Celtic Rootsby amberComment: Post challenge.
I'm really surprised as to how many people see no connection between 'roots' and family.
Even everyday language reflects it - Going back to my roots; family tree...etc. One of the most popular geneology sites is called 'Rootsweb. We speak of putting down roots; uprooting ourselves and on and on....
