The end of the road?by ReinerComment: Very grey and dreary. I see a condemned building. Does that mean poverty? Maybe, maybe not. Technicals: contrast could use a boost. Focus is a bit soft. Perspective is interesting. |

it wasn't alwaysby kolasiComment: the straight on perspective makes look pretty flat. I see an old un-kept building, but that alone does not mean poverty. |

No Pensionby Purple_GirlComment: I think I see what you were going for: too poor to be able to plug in the heater. What doesn't fit is why she would be sitting in a corner by a window looking at the cold rain. Seems to me she would be seeking out the warmest part of the house. Aside form that, technicals are okay. Focus is good. Color cast gives the viewer the feeling of how cold the woman is. The lighting could have been better as the shadow is distracting. |

Tired and Wornby riversongComment: A typical house front from the poorer side of town. Focus seems good. The foreground is a bit too bright. Had a person been sitting out on that porch looking as tired and worn as the house I think it would have been better. |

Costal Povertyby halopesComment: Good perspective. I'm not sure I really would call this poverty since I am not led to believe this is someone's home. It could just be an old boat house. |

Cold and lonelyby ti_evomComment: A but busy - the person really gets lost amongst the background. At first this bothered me, but after spending a few minutes looking at it, I like it. It adds to the message of cold and lonely - lost to everything around them. Very emotive when you spend time with it. |

True Povertyby photobyjewellComment: Truly emotive. A sad but typical scene - blind person that society should be reaching out to but is not.
Technicals could be better. The focus is off and the highlights blown out. |
