An Eye for an Eyeby TikicharmComment: Whew! Too close for me. Feel like I'm entering Mordor! On the serious side, I'm trying to figure out if I'm looking at something modified using Photoshop "art" filters - the either natural or induced "noise" detracts from the image, IMHO. |

Flower Spinby ty_roniComment: I would normally hate this kind of photo, but this blends fairly well, surprisingly. I kind of like it. It's not dizzying, and the off-center effect is great. 7 |

Got a Light?by Ice-Tea-1983Comment: Took me a full minute to realize what I was looking at. My initial reaction (before I could figure out what it was) was "Wowwwwwwwwwwwww"... very warm and abstract. 8 |

Fantasy Circlesby ninjaComment: Cool takeoff of the flag photos already on DPC. I'm interested to know what your background was. Very abstract and eye catching. 7 |

Twisted Metalby The BynoComment: I believe your image needs some USM. Addiionally, the "extra" stuff on the walls proves a bit distracting. I tend to feel that if you are going to shoot a single object in the center of the scene, make sure it has no distractors, or that everything surrounding it is in balance. |

Heading Due Westby PeltzComment: OK, I think the major problem I have with this photo is that the focal point is obscured by the reflections of the flash and several surrounding objects. If it were a clear sphere, the reflections might prove interesting, but since there's a compass in there, you have 2 major elements (reflections and compass) competeing for attention. |

Smokeby van63Comment: A bit fuzzy, IMHO. I like the sun shining thru the smoke, but I think there needs to be some sort of "anchor" in the foreground to give the photo perspective. Maybe more of the tree with the sun in the upper left corner (keeping rule of thirds in mind)??? |
