hi there from the CC Club :)
I really think this shot works very well for the fauna challenge .. definitly an animal in it's natural state :)
the composition and placement of the bird works well with the background and rock on the upper left in the water ... i would have liked to see a little more DOF beyond the bird .. but with shots like these i know that's kinda difficult. The colors captured here pretty good ... looks like it was shot in the highest part of the day .. over all great fauna shot! Keep up the great work!

hey there from the CC Club :)
all i have to say is WOW!!! the color in this image is amazing ... the focus on the two front flowers with the DOF is great :) and i like the composition with them off to the lower left a little... you have captured this beautifully .. is there going to be a print? :) - i can not think or see anything wrong with this photo ... i didnt vote on flora ... if i did it'd be in the top of my choices :) keep it up ben - great job!

hey there from the CC Club :)
this is a great flora shot ... i do like the composition and angle this is taken at ... the soft focus on the flower itself gives a warm feeling to the whole image ... good idea in filtering the sun .. (i never think of those things :) ... the DOF is nice here ... just enough to seperate the flower from the leaves and stem ... great job :) ... my only suggestion is maybe crop the top down a little ... but maybe you tried that and it didnt look nice ... just a suggestion :)

hi there from the CC Club :)

this is a very interesting shot ... i do like the composition .. i think it does this photo very well :) ... the tree just off center balances very well with the dramatic red landscaped fields ... i kinda wish the sky wasnt so grey .. but as i can see there are clouds so of course that's understandable and there is nice tones there regardless ... i think this would have done fairly better if there was a more wow factor ... it is a nice photo .. but for "flora" i think the majority of people were looking to see floral shots with bright and in your face colors ... keep up the great work though

hey there from the CC Club ... this image is very artsy IMO .. i like it because of that ... but i think if it was more straight forward it would have done a little better because of the voters here at DPC ... i like the grain and the tonal ranges - i think you did a nice job with this image over all - the grain does add to the stormy effect ... keep it up ... :) Ayme

Hello from the Critique Club!
I love flower shots and this one is very elegant but it does seem a little dark .. the vase gets kind of lost in the dark background ... actually with the calibration of my screen the only way i do see the vase is from the blue border that brightens it up. The Yellow tulip is very nice in detail, you have captured the petals nicely, but i would like to see it closer to the front of the image .. overall it is a nice image - keep up the good work!

Hey there from the Critique Club!
Karmat, I really enjoyed this photo when i saw it in the challenge .. the colors are really pretty and soothing ... the composition was great .. i like the concept. The opposite colors in the strings is a nice effect as well. The colors work well together - kinda reminds me of a painting hanging in an old timey diner resturant who plays doo-op type music ... sorry if i dont make sense .. but i can defninitly see this hanging on a wall!
I'm sure you played with this .. but i'm not too sure about the brown at the bottom of the image between the guitairs .. i like the white like the top better ... overall - awesome shot! :) .. Ayme

Hi there from the Critique Club!
I do like the tones in this image and emphasising on the hands was a very good idea, but i think the symmetry should have been a little more dominant. I do like the concept of the usage of the hands and the composition is cropped quite well for the image used but the hands arent exact and i think that's why this image did score lower than hoped. if the hands were flatter showing more of her face on the left i think the symmetry would have been a little stronger ... i did not vote this week - but if i did i would have scored it a 6 for even just capturing the shot and the tonal range :)

Good job ... Ayme

hello from the Critique Club!

This is an amazing shot especially appropriate for the Symmetry Challenge.
The composition is great - I like the way my eye travels through and along the horizon and the reflection has great colors to match the actual mountains. The tones in this image are very soothing .. and can surely show that the snow is fresh as you titled it. i like the touch of brown along the waterline it adds a nice touch to the over all effect.
Great Job! Ayme
