This was one of my first test shots taken with a brand new 717 at English Bay, looking WWN. I still am in love with the wonderful colour and subtle tonalities I achieved with my old S85 (in Program mode) and have have five days grace to get her back (return policy). Being quite a novice at this, I'm agonizing!

hey there from the CC Club ... this image is very artsy IMO .. i like it because of that ... but i think if it was more straight forward it would have done a little better because of the voters here at DPC ... i like the grain and the tonal ranges - i think you did a nice job with this image over all - the grain does add to the stormy effect ... keep it up ... :) Ayme

I like the grainyness of this photo alot and also the composition. I do think it's a bit underexposed.

This probably looks much better in a larger version! Nice shot, just doesn't get what it deserves at this size.

Nice photo. I like the contrast of the boats with the clouds in the background. Black & white was a nice choice.

Wow stormy skies, nice capture! The whole image is a little grainy but it seems to work here.

I like the set up but I feel it's a bit too noisy and grainy.

At first I didn't like the graininess of this photo. When I looked closer I didn't mind it too much any more because the graininess brings for some strange reason raindrops in my mind (?). The grey is BTW good for creating a rainy feeling in the viewers mind.

It's pixelated for sure but... I still like it. The greys and blacks are nice. And the lone white boat is great. Did you have to crop it a lot?

nice effect with the B&W and graininess.

seems over contrasted/grainy - although its tough to decide if the alternative is better (i'm getting complaints of not enough contrast). still, nice shot. hope all the boats made it in safely.

I like how this picture looks like one of the old-time prints. I think I would have added just a tint of color, but it's beautiful as it is. -9

The graininess really adds to the mood in this photo

Looks very grainy. Also I'm not sure b&w was the best choice for this pic.
