comp good, great sillouettes, nice movement, blacks in bg a bit too deep, whites in bg need help, nice light, nice texture, nice lines, the top and bottom natural frame is great, overall a nice pix

Sorry to say, but the score I agree with.

Comp not interesting, blown out whites, blacks too deep, color washed out, texture just ok, too much negative space on bottom, no movement of the eye, the dust on lens or whatever should of been edited out.

If you love the picture, that is all that matters. You present an image to an audience within a site that produces outstanding work, be prepared to be graded.

Your score is not a reflection of your work. Your score is a reflection of quality of your image.

Don't give up. Keep going.

Ya know, this has so much potential.

I almost gave it a 5.

But I noticed myself looking more into this image, and then I read the title.

Good god, couldn't you put something more in the bg to give me more information that this is a Hotel.

I love this picture. I see what your after, but I just need that one thing that will scream "Hotel room". Like the "Do not disturb" sign, or a tv, a cheesy framed picture on the wall.

Wow.

Nice lighting, good blocking of model, good color, great tonal value, great emotinonal value, story telling good but needs more. Overall, a really great attempt.

....especially in still photography, there is only one chance to send the message of emotion within the frame.

A smile is not ALWAYS the answer. Happiness is not the only emotion. Photography should not be just about smiles and teeth.
Those of you not liking her expression actually were affected by the emotion factor, and did not realize it.

NO, if I wanted the water to look milky, then I would of done so. I wanted crispness to the water.

A catchlight with a true close up maybe, but this model is too far for that. To have a catch light at the distance I had her, I would of needed somewhere around a 10kw as her key.

Yes, I have converted it to a sepia tone, and didn't know which one to enter in this challenge. Prolly would of done about the same placement.
