heart vase in sunlightby lecookComment: From the thumbnail, I thought this was some kind of colour negative special effect. The more I look at this, the more I like the way the red and blue play off each other, and the shapes the light is leaving on the surface. |

The Roseby speaseComment: The detail is nice, but the colour looks somewhat washed out. Also, roses turned out to be a very common topic, and this picture doesn't really do anything except have a reasonably nice picture of a reddish rose. |

Roses Are Redby doorknobComment: This looks a little like a "...god kill a rose" picture. I like the cloth texture comes out to make it obvious their fake roses, but um, more roses. |

How Bout Them Apples!by shortredneckComment: I think the flash has really desaturated the red. It looks like the camera's colour-balance is set wrongly, which makes the flash blue and therefore washes out the red. Also it might have been better to focus tightly on fewer apples to get more skin texture detail. |
