Composition - You needed a little more of a plan for this one. I'm not saying you couldn't pull this off, but this one needs some help. I'm not really sure what you were trying to show here. I would say its the cheese judging by the title. I think you should've shown more of that, but not from so close! Give it some room to move a little. The actual composition of the pic is pretty weak, but I want to look at the technical part of it first. I may or may not come back to this section.
(cont.) The background of this picture is way way busy. It should be simple and neat.

Technical - I think the biggest problem is the focus. I think that stems from being too close to your subject. The camera can't focus if you are that close, or apparently that close because of the zoom. Looks like the flash fired judging by the reflections on the spoon though I am not positive. I would hesitate to use the flash, especially on something this close. The colors do look okay, so that's good.

Overall - aesthetically not a strong picture, although its making me crave nachos, and not very well taken. I'd say turn off the flash from this close, back up a little, and try to take the photo from the direction where the background is minimized. Your camera will take some very nice pics. I bought my wife one in Oct. 2002. Good luck to you and keep shooting. - Bob

There needs to be some definition where the hiker ends and the mountain begins, or vice versa. Good idea but I think the execution fell just a little short.

Great idea. I think you could've really got a little more creative and got some more color involved. The concept is very very good. It's not a bad photo, but it needs a little more bite

I would've gone for a lower perspective. Something more unique than just standing next to the rack taking the picture. Good subject, making it a good photo is the goal.
