I can totally identify with this picture. I even have a sippy cup or 3 just like the one on the right. Might want to fix your background and the cloth on the table They have some wrinkles. Good luck with the family

A little too soft. This looks like if clearer, it would've been a really nice pic. I'm not sure what greyscaling did for it, aside from taking away any problems there might've been with the lighting and such. Good effort

a little noise? I'm guessing this is not on purpose, but I can't imagine why. If it was you camera, my condolences. If it was on purpose... I don't know what you gain by adding this much noise..

You mightve been best off staying away from that super extra bright light. That really can play hell on an exposure.

Good use of a perspective shot here and also using the title to tie it in. It works very well for this challenge. I'm not saying its a winner, but a pretty solid shot with a good idea behind it.

I don't think you add anything to this photo by going greyscale. There really isn't a classic look or a vintage look to make this a better picture by going b&w. It doesn't have much going on in the photo and I think that really hurts it.

Greetings from the Critique Club

Composition - First thing I noticed when I saw this picture was that the bug is a little bit small for this shot. I wanted to zoom in on him but obviously that is not possible. His placement is too far up in the frame. This photo I think is applicable to the rule of thirds, put him on the upper left side but more towards the center of the picture. The banana is also a little dark in color from what I can remember about bananas. I don't know if it'd been sitting out awhile or a color adjustment was made post shot. I like the fact that we can see some of the peel, but I think it might've been conducive to show some of the outside of the banana, to add a bit more color into the mix. Maybe some of the color problem could've been alleviated with a little more light.

Technical - Regarding the lighting, I don't like the shadow cast on the banana by the peel, but not sure if you could effectively remove it. Its pretty crisp and clear, no real problems there. A little more exposure probably sounds easier said than done, considering this insect is alive and probably has the attention span of my 6 year old. Not a badly taken photo.

Overall - I don't think these subjects have the potential to generate a lot of score. This image is lacking a little in visual appeal, excuse the pun. There isn't a lot of color and really nothing extraordinary happening. I think you did pretty well with this picture in terms of taking it, but there are some things that I would've changed had I taken the photo. But it's not my photo, so I'm just here to tell you what I think. Best of Luck in future challenges - Bob

I would like this better if it were zoomed up past the bikes and railings. Excellent subject and one that lends itself well to being photographed. Great subject and not a bad photo either.

There are a lot of neat things here. Maybe too many. There seems to be nothing legitimately level here. Is this a fisheye lens trick or am i just seeing things? The fountain would've been the focus of this photo if I were submitting it. Its gorgeous. Great exposure on it.

The horizon seems to be off a bit. Great idea and a very nice pic. The blue color is great.
