Fading Factories in the Mountains

This picture gives me some mixed feelings. I like the subjects in distance. Greyscale is effective here. The angle makes the clock and the tower on the right the same distance to the center tower. This bit of colorful leaves, although adding a bit of color, not to mention probably a definite part of the composition is very distracting. NOTE: If this was not your intention for this photo disregard what is to follow. I'm seeing this as a little paradox - the beauty and color of nature vs. the greyscaled industrial factions. If this is the case, I would've found it much more effective to put the focus on the foreground leaves vs. the buildings in the background. Leave those out of focus to let your viewer know that your aim was to focus on the leaves. This is just my opinion. If the leaves have nothing to do with the shot in your initial intent, then leave them out as they are completely distracting. Good Luck - Inspzil

I have absolutely no idea what this is, what its trying to portray and I'm very certain that this will not show up on the front of any paper. My best guess is that it's jellybeans. It's way way out of focus, the highlights on top are blown out, badly. I don't know what else to say. - Inspzil

Looks like a couple guys from Def Leppard, Joe Elliot and Phil Collen, but I could be wrong here. If it is, what a great op for a pic. Lighting is pretty cool. Pic is framed a little weird, looks like it could be panned back a bit to include more of left guys guitar. Overal pretty good though. - Inspzil

The flash in this pic makes the vegetation in the foreground look very fake. The subject in this pic is awesome though. I might have tried to frame the shot so that the foreground vegetation was minimal and the top of the figures head was included. That probably would've helped your score by 2 points. Still an interesting shot. - Inspzil

Good capture. I'm not so sure this is front page type news, but I bet it would make the paper somewhere. Lighting is nice and the little bit of landscape is great. The one little piece of brush at the bottom just left of center is a little distracting, but overall not taking too much away from the shot. Good job - Inspzil
