Heavenlyby TurbotechComment: Very nice pic. You will get a good score, but the thing that bothers me most about this pic is the backdrop cloth is wrinkled. I may have tried to backlight the cup a little, just enough so it doesn't seem shadowed. But this is a great idea and by no means poorly taken. - Inspzil |

Refreshingby spidermanComment: Looks like spackle. Well taken, not so sure that generally I like it though. Certainly though someone sacrificed for the sake of photography!! - Inspzil |

A drop in a cup of Milk.by SharQComment: Good stop action shot. I'm not so sure greyscale is the way to go with this image, even if milk is white. I like the white reflection. - Inspzil |

Got Milk!by ErastisComment: This isn't the best picture of the challenge, but my personal favorite. Great idea, pretty well captured. The image does look like it has some clarity issues and maybe some resolution issues. I really like this pic though - Inspzil |

The First Milk Drop.by Fibre OptixComment: Something looks wrong. It looks like yogurt or something. I don't find this picture terribly clear. Maybe macro is not the way to go on cereal. |

Got Cookiesby daysezComment: The lack of lighting on the side of the glass makes the milk look too yellow, like something is wrong with it. It could use a little indirect lighting IMO. |

Where Frozen Milk Comes Fromby alanfreedComment: This would've been a great landscape shot. The patterns in the snow from plowing are great. I like how the farm is tucked into the middle of this pic neatly. Nice job - Inspzil |

Canyon of the Mighty Watersby magnetic9999Comment: Critique Club by Inspzil
Composition - A remarkable place you've chosen to shoot. Very photo worthy. The framing is great. The angle this was taken from makes the shot. Minimizing the sky has helped a lot. Photos partly in the sun mostly in the shade are difficult to expose properly but it looks like you did a fine job of that. The white sky is the only thing about this picture that I don't like. The slower shutter to show the motion of the water is the icing on the cake in this picture. Great picture.
Photography - Well I kinda covered this stuff in the last part. ooops. My bad. In summary - you did a hell of a job
Processing - Nothing is standing out. The sky looks so white. I don't think you could've saturated some color into it without messing up something else. Some things are better left untouched.
Overall - An awesome scene well captured. Nice job again Mag. This is really well taken, meets the challenge well, and looks like a place where you could burn a card full in no time. |

Unfinished Businessby GraciousComment: Critique Club by Inspzil
Composition - Well no job is finished until the paperwork is done. Nothing is more true than those precious few moments of "dropping the kids off at the pool." Being a veteran of 11th hour shots, I know how these things work. The shower curtain as bright and colorful as it is, is really taking away from the subject of this pic. The bright glare on the curtain is equally distracting. It looks like the paper is tied on the subject. I think it would've been more effective to just stuff it down there, plus stuffed a bunch more down there to make his backside all puffy with paper. A little different perspective might've added to the mood of this too. Maybe if you could've put the camera lower, like toilet level against the wall next to the toilet, taking the camera from the toilet's perspective, you could've emphasized the paper a little more and taken some of the focus off the inside of the toilet and the shower curtain. This is a good concept, but these 11th hour shots don't afford us the time to hone this down and explore all of the options to make this shot as effective as it could be.
Photography - This is a pretty well taken photo. The only thing I don't like is the flash on the shower curtain. Exposure looks good as does DOF and focus.
Processing - I don't see anything standing out at me, so it must be good
Overall - This shot has a lot of potential to be pretty good. Some of the distracting things need to be removed or replaced. A better angle on the shot would also minimize this stuff and concentrate our attentions to the humorous part of the photo. Hope this can be of some help to you. My best advice is take your photos prior to the 10th hour so you have a little time to rethink and reshoot them. I should prolly listen to that advice myself!! - Bob |

Spilledby GraciousComment: A lot going on here. Unfortunately none of it is very clear. Conceptually its pretty good. The execution leaves much to be desired, like focus. Lighting is pretty good too. Good Luck - Inspzil |
