Arson Tree Terrorby MelonMusketeerComment: i'm going to haunt you for life if you don't, after the voting ends, and give us some details on the circumstances surrounding this shot after I'm giving you an 9 for a score. so please, what's up with this shot? what's the white, dome-shaped object near the top? |

Stuntedby tembaComment: this picture cries out for a dark background. dpc's webpage doesn't do it justice. very moody and nice shot. |

Future generations...by pyritjennyComment: technically, this doesn't really meet the challenge spec... there are no trees. but it's too cool (including title), so i'm giving it an 8 anyway. |

Rise and Shineby yantskiComment: slap a suit on me for copying this to check out a theory, but it looks about 100 times better in Photoshop against a black background. try it. this PANTONE Cool Gray 1 C background that they use is definitely doing a disservice to your really nice, moody silhouette, imho. this is at least an 8.5 score. nice shot! |

"Sentry of Decades"by WeefanComment: this is really an amazing picture and title. if you could work this to pull the tree out some more from the background and get those clouds up a bit it would definitely be a 10. i love the foreground grass! |

Mighty Oakby DrakeComment: unlike many in this challenge, your cropping didn't cut off the tree, so i think it's very good. i wish the tree had a bit more contrast to pull it out from the background, though. i'd like to see some details on how you did this and wonder if a wider angle lens and closer proximity to the tree might have made it stand out more from the background. what did you shoot this with? |
