Barred and Insignificantby redeyedfrogComment: I wish the lighting had come from the front rather than the rear in this image, if only to enhance the shape of the chick. Works well for challenge - adds a bit of emotion to the image. 6 |

Praying on Spearmintby bspurgeonComment: kinda cool. I think the faded out part on the left is a little distracting but I'm guessing you couldn't control it. Works well enough for challenge. 6 |

Look, bird-berries!by jodis_evaComment: Because the hand is so centered, in-your-face, and in focus, I would think it was the subject. So, for me, it is not a case of missed focus and doesn't really relate to the challenge. However, I do find this a strong image as it is, and like the presentation, though I'm not fond of the title. 6 |

A Day at the Beachby bobonacusComment: No beach. I like the shapes and the colors but the image is cut in half horizontally. Inclusion of the flying bird adds nothing but boring sky. This could be two images - cut the top and the left and the bird and cabanas really control the image. Or, cut the bottom and the landscape opens up. Now the image doesn't seem to do either very well. 6 |

Inexact Scienceby jfritz27Comment: Kind of interesting abstract graphic. One is out of focus and the fact that the others are in focus draws my attention to this one. So it fits the challenge, but does it do anything beyond that? 6 |

A Moment too Lateby MAKComment: I like your use of stark tones to set a mood. Wonder at the title - too late for what? Why is her eyebrow in focus - what does it mean? Unanswered questions and I feel this works for the challenge well enough. 6 |

Behind every cow...by prperoldComment: Hmmm. looks like the cow is standing in front of a backdrop. And, because of the black cow behind the white cow, who appears as the white cows shadow, it looks like an overly powerful flash was used. I'm not sure if that was your intention but I'm going to pretend it is and give you a 6 for the 'tongue-in cheek' humor. |

Fisherman at Dawnby JakerComment: so little here not sure if focus even matters. wish lights and darks were a little better treated. But a good entry non-the-less. 7 |
