Sometimes you can spray paint an object and use it as part of a photo and people will not see the paint, only the effect it creates. But sometimes the paint is all that is seen and the image falls short of what it could be. The red wine bottle seems to look most natural with this treatment. I don' like the cork done this way. And that upside-down wine glass is right 'over the top.' Otherwise it is an interesting and fairly effective arrangement, well lit and exposed.

Nothing makes this photo of 'light' on white worse than any other; but it's about the sixth or tenth photo of bulbs and I'm prepared not to see any more....

Sometimes less is more. The spoon's placement and its lighting are perfect. Yet one spoonful of anything good is never quite enough: Haagen Daz ice cream, chocolate mousse, a plastic spoon on a white background.

At first it seemed ordinary. Then I grew to live the rhythms made by those little gold pins. Finally I appreciated the gold on green color palette - with just an accent of black.

I think this is my favorite of the bunch. I like the choice of a natural background. I like the fact that I can see the texture in the snow clearly. I like the black line at the top. I like the little seed head as a subject, its placement, and its perfect definition.

Strong composition. Good lighting, and exposure. I find the young child's cheeks to be just a little flat. And one of the daisies is extraeneous, I think it is the out-of-focus one.
