'tackle'by suemackComment: Hmm.. Extreme by several measures. It's a great action shot.
Though I appreciate the strong bokeh, I wish more of the players faces were in sharper focus. The lighting seems strange: it seems a little flat and it seems to produce a cyan cast to the skin. Still, nice effort. |

Spring Blizzardby vtruanComment: The action in the photo doesn't rate as extreme except maybe in Florida . The photo appears to be rotated clockwise a degree or so. But I like it; it's clearly a beautiful house and the impressionistic effect created by the snow makes it better. |

Touched by the Evening Light by librodoComment: I've left comments on over seven hundred photos at this site and voted on thousands more. (A mere beginner...) There are just a handful of images that remain clearly in my mind; this is one of them. If this site produces the inspiration, the skill, the dogged determination in me to produce one photo as good as this, I shall consider my association with this site successful. |

Patienceby SDWComment: I love the expression, the framing, lighting, color, and bokeh. I'm afraid I find the guardrails distracting. Even in the thumbnail I found myself asking 'what's that sticking out of his head?' Still, nice shot. |

Vulture 1by srdanzComment: The textures and values contrast strongly to make the vulture stand out. I love the gently fading color and soft texture of the water as a background. Nicely framed. I wonder whether a little Unsharp Mask might strengthen the texture contrast between the subject and background. I also wonder whether the presentation might work in B&W. Either way, it's a striking shot. |

Gorilla Pby DonJuanComment: Yes, couldn't it be intentional rather than accidental? It is an old gorilla. |

"Building Blocks"by tfarrell23Comment: My own experience suggests that there is a penalty at this site for photographing stuffed animals which amounts to something like one or two points. Look at it this way and you have a photo that approaching ribbon quality! At any rate, thanks for the chuckle. |
