Extreme Slow Motionby Glen KingComment: Very funny.
The vast blurry space on the right and the slightly indistinct turtle headed into the blurry wall does not strike me as inspired composition. Hard to give it poiints commensurate with the genius of its inspiration. |

Swift Mountain Riverby riversongComment: I like to photograph streams as well. The most popular idiom for streams is to use really slow film, stop the lens down to f/32 , slap on a neutral filter, set the camera on a lens, expose for several seconds. Then the smoothe white color of the water really contrasts with the rough texture of the dark rocks. My own point and shoot won't let me do this, so I'm wondering whether I should try to photograph streams on brightly lit nights or near dawn or dusk. You migtht find that the composition feels less static if the stream flows diagonally through the photograph. |

Extreme Ironingby xtabintunComment: The idea for the photo is funny. The implementation strikes me as just a little over-the-top. |

So Many Milesby dpakohComment: It's not uncommon for images that are blurred to score poorly in DPC challenges, I hope this photo does well. I happen to like this photo quite a lot. It inspires me to try night photography agian. |

L L Lby ralphComment: Not sure what the D&B comment was referring to, but I do notice that the two center piers appear lighter than the other two; could be accidental. The texture they reveal is one of several great strengths of the photo, IMO. Would be nice to see the same in the other two piers. As good as the image is, I think it might be better if the sluice - or whatever the foreground structure is - were sharply in focus and the motion blur in the water were more pronounced. |

lightbulb, impact+200usby ralphComment: Great photo. I'd be interested to know how 200 microseconds was chosen; if by trial and error, then how many bulbs did it take? |

Slidingby stupidcatComment: A gorgeous model wiearing a great expression. Nice composition, colors, bokeh. Not much extreme about the action, but I really like the photo. |
