Challenge: Extreme Action (Advanced Editing IV)
Camera: Canon EOS-20D
Location: Barnet, Herts
Date: Apr 10, 2005
Aperture: f4
ISO: 800
Shutter: 1/250
Galleries: Performance, Action
Date Uploaded: Apr 10, 2005

Light was poor and I had little time to prepare, but this was as close to the action as I could get.

Frustratingly, the fire had left his mouth too far for my preference and will probably mean this is too 'actionless'.

The fire is a neat capture, but I don't see a lot of action. He seems like he's standing still, just kindof looking at the fire.

Beautiful!
The man's face are so clear and sharp, and I like the the fire's reflection on them.
The warm colors are also adding to that mystery feeling that is surrounding the circus people so often.
I wish the background had been darker though. I think it would give some more "air" to the fire to burn to perfection. 8

The complexity of the fire is the strength within this image. The subjects are well placed within the photo but the background is blah and somewhat distracting. Great capture nonetheless. Goodluck!

Perfectly exposed, the detail in the smoke is also really cool, as is the quality of light on the guys face. Wouldn't be surprised to see this ribbon

This is really something. I'd love to know how you took this. It looks like a fast shutter in low light so the ISO must be right up but the picture looks smooth. Perhaps Neat Image earned its keep here? Anyway very very well done getting the shot. Good light and composition with a nice tone to the image. 10
