Rustic decayby SpidermancrdComment: Rusted steel and iron work can take on such extraordinary almost organic shapes and textures. And here it is lit superbly with warm orange sunset light at just the right angle. But I find the wave, the sliver of a column on the left edge, and the wedge of yellow at the top right corner distracting. |

The Violin's Soulby fotodudeComment: This is the third viol bridge I've seen in this competition and it is easily the best. For instrument bridges this and the guitar bridge are in a close heat. The focus is clearly on the bridge itself and those sumptuous sound slots in the wood. Lighting is perfect and so is the composition. |
