Interesting contrast study. The bright flare line across the center horizontally is a little distracting, but not enough to ruin the overall effect of the picture.

Fresh as a rose

This is a wonderful portrait with nice contrasts and an adorable subject.
It is not, unfortunately IMO, an "otherwise person-less" photo. The colored flower against the desat rest of the shot is clearly the main subject. But the baby is the real story, and is in no way hidden.
Very creative, and nicely done, just dnmc a bit for me.

Day 03 - Picking Flowers

Before I read your notes, the first thing I saw - and really liked - was the color splash that is the whole bottom half of the image. The overcast sky on top just makes the grass, the flowers, and Cartesia really pop off the screen. The jacket works well to make the shoe colors OK. I really like everything.
BTW, I think the crop worked very well too.
