Be to her, Persephone,
All the things I might not be:
Take her head upon your knee.
She that was so proud and wild,
Flippant, arrogant and free,
She that had no need of me,
Is a little lonely child
Lost in Hell,— Persephone,
Take her head upon your knee:
Say to her, "My dear, my dear,
It is not so dreadful here."

Ol Edna St Vincent Millay

Interesting effect - bleached and slightly scratchy - it works well with this image

Very ethereal and fleeting as though they could disappear at any time - fragile, I guess, would be another description.

kinda spooky verse for such darling little ones, I can see how you're trying to work the image to the content of the poem, by having her merge with the surrounding..like a spirit might, or one who loses their self in the soul of another

i really like this, its so candid, and the processing is very well done, color mood is very well portrayed too.

Although you haven't achieved what you were going for to me this is another beautifully well done overlay. Nice poem too.

I don't know that I quite understand your idea, but I really like this as is. The color and combination of the two is quite interesting.

Lovely. Wish the white shirt weren't so blown unless you put the poem over that area in a nice font - that'd be cool. Good job though.

Lovely gentle moment.

Not sure if it's my monitor or not, but the bottom left hand corner is very blown out from where I sit.

Your editing rocks on this one, Alicia! The tones are wonderful and I love the blown out left corner, for whatever reason it helps to lead my eye to the girl in profile. Sweet!
