Bug-eyed shadow on the floorby raishComment: I'm sorry I couldn't rate this very high. Overall the shadow idea might have worked, but I think it would need to be more obvious as what it is supposed to be. Is the ball a part of the image? the bug-eye perhaps? Just not clear enough for me. My greatest concern though is how the floor is out of focus, and yet kind of busy (lines, wood grain, knots). Maybe next time try a shadow shot on a plain background, so the contrast between light and dark draws your eye first. |

Spoochelangeloby BudyaComment: Very creative and well done. Although I might have imagined this being the "Ansel Adams-Family" given the pose...
Of course if you are very young, or not American, you're wondering what I'm talking about. |

oozeby PhilComment: The positioning and reflection are excellent. It didn't hit me right away that the reflection eye is staring right at me. Increased creepy factor for being so understated. Really well done. |

Alien Abductionby jimboneComment: Definitely the creepiest and most "out there" shot in this challenge.
composition, layout, rule of thirds, all done just right. Nice job. |

True Horrorby KenComment: This has a very uncomfortable, true to life, creep factor. Using a child's hand (evidenced by the horsey pajama sleeve) adds to the discomfort. This is the nightmare my mother scared us with all through my childhood.
That said, since this is a Halloween shot, I can cope. Looking back and reflecting, I am raising my initial score.
Assuming that's not real blood, I'd like to know what you used - it sure looks real. I would have chosen a better looking apple if possible, and maybe a red one, to go with the blood.
Still all in all, well done. |

09-09-09 Celebrationby LydiaComment: Great shot. This would make an excellent poster for the celebration of, well....9.
Good job. |

Fore...by LutchenkoComment: Although I assume this is a set-up shot, I really like it. I wish you had lit the ball a little more, as it is an integral part of the action. The black background really works for me. Nice job. |
