day 5 - recycled picture, happy day!by rachelellenComment: Rachel!
THAT is the best news I've heard in a while!
Congratulations. I remember the story well, and was even telling my wife about it as we came across one of your pics last week. I wondered how things were going, so this is just wonderful!
This was a meaningful picture back in July, and it's even more meaningful today. You can stop trying to not get your hopes up now.
How long til we get a shot of the house now?

Pod view 2by MelethiaComment: I bet you could find a stand-in cat in Kuwait.
Anyway, you are somewhere unique doing something (?) special, and building memories. Sounds like the perfect setting for a slice of life.
...Even if it is all one dull, flat, boring color.

Club Silvestreby BAMartinComment: Glad to see you even if you don't have time for this one. You're always welcome, whenever you can post. That's what makes the DPC community so great.
BTW, I love the colors and shadows in this shot. It feels like the southwest.

Day 5by thomaspeopleComment: Originally posted by rachelellen: Very, very nice. I'll be you saved a bundle on her senior pictures. |
Sadly, no. Her school required the students to go to their designated photographer. And since Nicole is a senior, she needed multiple shots for the year-book. We're out exactly $100, and we have only a book of proofs. If we want actual prints, we have to really dig deep.
I'm in the wrong business... |

Washed Dishes Day 3by riversongComment: I wanna know what you cooked for dinner that used a cookie sheet and a colander? And then there's that cool spatula and the big spoon...
(It's getting close to dinner time. I'm not thinking clearly.)

day 5: pondby ErinMComment: Charlie, joynim is right. The ducks really make this shot.
And what's wrong with prepositions? I think they get a bad rap, just like dangling participles. (You need your participles to dangle from time to time.) Besides, the sentence without your lovely phrases would read like this:
"I took kids to school then walked. It was nice."
Your's was much better. :)

day 4: retreatby ErinMComment: Judy is right. I was trying to remember why this looks so familiar. Then I read her comment and I immediately knew it gave that same old-movie feel. The contrast made by the light is incredible.
Great shot. |
