Calico Jackby AliciaComment: Oh... this one is even better than the other one. Has the same links/story, but the perspective of the ship, and the patterns in the water make this even more aesthetically pleasing than the previous on. Outstanding shots and processing. |

Sea Roverby AliciaComment: This is why I like your photos so much. So artistic. So natural. I love that the reflections almost look like those of a tree or forest, linking the ship to the materials from which it's made (probably not... ship's probably all steel, aluminium and fiberglass... but anyway... seemed link a link). |

Carp 2by cogeroxComment: This is nice. The colours of the carp, and the depth of it c/o the plants on the surface and the tail disappearing into the depths of the water. Well done. |

Carp 1by cogeroxComment: I like that the effect has only been applied to the fish, and not the plants on the surface of the water... gives it an art meets life feel. |

No One Gets Out of Here Alive!by OmanOtterComment: Well composed. Nice and sharp. Would have liked it to be a bit darker, which would have added a tad more drama to it. I find the wires and the orange twig(?) very distracting... could have used a tighter crop and convert it to B&W perhaps. Overall though, a good image.
Now that my comment about your photo is done... please bear with me while I use your image in a little comment experiment... something like K10DGuy's comments, but with a twist... the twist being, the story will move from one photo to another within the challenge.
Yours is the seventh and final in the sequence... :

The three rested in the cave. For the first time since they found themselves alone in the world, they found sleep easily that evening. Sleep comes easily to those with no worries, and those that have given up all hope have no worries in the world. They slept, and they never woke... now the world was empty... now the meek could inherit the Earth.

Desert Portalby essieComment: This is so simple, yet so stunning. Great tones, detail and composition. One of my favourites in the challenge.

The three ventured south... FAR south... but found nobody. They did manage to find the occasional pieces of vegetation, which they shared... however, they were tiring. They decided to take shelter from the sun in a cave and rest before they continued their trek to find others.

Ice Puzzleby StructorComment: This is an absolutely breathtaking image. The balance of sky and ice, cloud and clear sky... brilliant... and the colours are perfect. Exceptional!

The three men roamed to earth looking for signs of life. No man, nor woman. No animal. No plant. There was nothing left, but the three of them. "Are we the meek that are to inherit the Earth" Boris asked. "What sort of inheritance is this? We have no food? We have nothing?" Sergei cried. It was getting cold and the trio hadn't found any signs of life in their own area, so they decided to head south, where it was warmer and they might find some food.

Men of Lettersby e301Comment: This is an excellent capture. I imagine it took a bit of planning, and a lot of patience to get this one. You've done well.

Ivan and Boris emerged from the subway station and were amazed at how empty the city was. They were soon joined by another man, Sergei. The three men roamed the city looking for signs of life... but there were none to be found. They were alone. What had become of their families, their friends? Where had all the animals gone?
