Sorry but this is just too basic. The mechanical pensil is not a bad idea, but maybe you should have used it in a different manner, made a more complex image that intrigues the viewer rather than just showing a picture of an every day thing. Make the viewer notice certain aspects of the pensil (like the "mechanics" of it).

love this picture, I came across a similar one, but I think this one may be a little bit better just for the fact that it seems to have a little more motion in it. Very nice.
