it was supposed to be a commentary on the destruction of nature by the creation of cities. the juxtaposition of the natural dead leaf on the man-made pavement.

oh, and i like the overexposed part on the leaf. yeah.

this is a nice shot. a good contrast between the big city and the beach life. i know where i live a lot of people come down from the city to go to the local beaches, so this makes sense to me.

i think the cropping is a little too tight on this. i'd have liked to see the rest of her head and skateboard sneak in there. might give more of a sense of action, as well.

wow. i've always been fascinated with these people who can do wonders with chalk. nice shot, too. great framing and i like how you got all his chalks in there and the chalked up pants. the more i look at this, the more i like it. nice capture.

nice. i love the long exposure elements here. my only minor gripe is that the shot seems a little tilted. it's the only thing keeping this from being really great.

this is just wacky. heh. i think i'm bothered by the tilt in this shot. otherwise, it's a good concept and well composed. but i really think it would have been better zoomed out a tad and straightened up. the colors are really nice, but i'd also like to see a black and white version. something about the artsy commentary here i think would just look good in b&w.

this is a real nice shot. would have maybe been great if you could have taken it a bit earlier (later maybe? not sure if this is sunset or rise) to get the sun above that try. i like how it's peaking from behind it, though. good job.

fifth third bank. now that's just wacky. nice shot here, and great depth of field. i like the angle you hit this at, it gives a sense of the towering height present in the city landscape. very nice.

nice shot. good juxtaposition between nature and the man-made monolith. the only thing that bothers me is the tight crop at the top. would have liked the top of the building to be in the frame.
