Instrumental Abstractby kyeboshComment: Nice colors and an attractive abstract. The white light on the left bothers me, though. Other than that, the elements here (including the frame) work nicely together. |

Contrast Matches His Job No Gray Areaby eaglebeckComment: This meets the challenge to the letter, but for me, it doesn't have enough interest - maybe if more of the ref's body, especially arms, were showing it would help. Crisp and clear image, though. |

broom vendor by whiteroomComment: Great capture! What a beautiful expression this guy has. Technically, this picture is everything I wanna be when I grow up. Good crop, good colors, good everything. |

Times Forgottenby phinbobComment: This is a beautiful scene. I'd like to see sharper focus on the front of the house, rather than the upper right clouds. The sky is a bit blown out, which distracts from the rest of the scene. Nice job with the colors. They're subtle and help give a contrasty feel to the image. |

September strollby geewhyComment: One of my favorites so far. This is misty, dream-like. Very soothing to view, especially after a long line of relatively harsh entries. The soft grass leads so nicely to the couple (man and his son?) in the center. |

FlutterByby Chilly0999Comment: Perfect. This not only meets the challenge in every possible way, but it's really a feast for the eyes. I love the very strong black and white in the butterfly, as well as that bit of a branch its hanging on (looks like the butterfly is suspended by one wing). |

Beacon Heightsby trnqltyComment: Beautiful colors and light! It might be nice with a bit of the lower part cropped --- is it a fisheye lens or a very steep hill with water on it? Love the reflection of the sky in the water. |

Dawnby DufusComment: Wow, this works as contrast on a couple of different levels: The contrast of the high-contrast mountain with the much lower contrast village, which is sitting in the shadows of nightfall or another mountain. |

Sands of Timeby beafliesComment: Your image has beautiful depth. I'm not sure how I feel about the shadow, though. The foreground is appealing, as is the color of the very light part of the sand. There's a sensual feeling to the composition. |
