Found in the Dirtby UrfaKComment: I like that sickly green against the cold grey and dark browns. Composition is strengthened by the diagonal of the pipe and placement of leaf works well in that. Texture and shape of leaf is just beautiful. |

The Beauty in Cubismby MAKComment: High contrast black and white really brings out the strong lines and shapes and the diverse and interesting textures. |

History - Timeless are the Treesby PGerstComment: Lovely textures and colours, nice light, lovely bokeh in background. But focus, for me, should be on centre of the rings in the tree trunk and not to the right hand edge of the surface as you have it. |

Winter Morningby Bear_MusicComment: Simple yet beautiful. This is all about form and light. The unusual composition with the two silver circles to the left, the tops of the panels at hte bottom and the blind taking up most of the frame, works well for me. But most of all I love the striped light spilling through and to the side. Lovely. |

Cracksby Donna21Comment: Nice capture of wonderfully weather worn building. I like the colours, textures and shapes, especially as they contrast between the natural plants and snow. |

Frazer Manhattanby Yo_SpiffComment: Lovely rusted car, the shape and textures and colours are a delight. The composition doesn't quite work for me because of the way the black bumper knobby thing (don't know what it's called) on the lower left is touching/slightly cropped by the edge of the frame but it's a minor thing. |

majestic squaresby piggratComment: Really interesting contrast of colours AND textures. And the shallow DOF works very well to emphasise that contrast by making the green plants even more organic by smoothing their shapes compared to the hard straight edges of the man-made wooden item. In that wooden item itself I love the fact that we can see the texture of the woodworking and the imperfections in the finish that let us know it is a hand-made piece. The composition, with the overhanging ledge, is unusual but it works. |

lock no lockby posthumousComment: Some lovely texture in the weathered metal and wood. Composition doesn't really work for me and the intruding ivy doesn't contribute for me. I think a tighter study of the bolt and weathered wood might be stronger. |

Very old Stainless Steel sugar bowlby robstComment: I like the way you have taken care to really capture the texture of this lovely old sugar pot. The criss-crossing lines covering the surface, and the way they catch and throw the light, are attractive. The shallow DOF throwing out the background into a smooth, pleasing green is also nice. I'm not sure that composition is very strong but certainly better than a straight on/ centred shot. |
