I really like the almost abstract nature of this image. The high contrast is wonderful as is the predominance of black with just that curved line of bluey greys and bright white. And yet there's so much to look at.

Beautiful portrait of the very beautiful Hanae. I particularly love that she's not plastered in make-up as so many of the models used in DPC entries are. The eye contact is electrifying and the lighting (and lovely shadows), the colour and print of the fabric and the composition are just right.

Those clouds behind really make the perfect backdrop for the wonderful shapes of the trails left by the planes. I love the odd-one-out plane being in there too, just to throw in something unexpected. The high-contrast black and white conversion really emphasises the graphic elements of this.

Great contrast between the "gallery" and the location of the "artwork" both in terms of colour palettes and in terms of soft natural/ organic versus hard, solid and man-made.

Lovely repetition of shapes. Great textures. Nice leading line formed by the white bands of the cars, taking us from the left of the image up towards the top right. Nice verticals too in the grass. And spot on to go for black and white.

Beautiful colours both in the bird and the background. Would prefer a real flower, but I'm assuming this was taken where the only thing attracting the birds was the artificial flower and nectar?
