Well, I guess it's a slightly smaller than average dragonfly but then most of them are reasonably small so it's not an obvious miniature to me. Nice detail in the dragonfly itself and I like the way the wings make an angle that then works well in the top right corner of the frame. Although I can see it would look weird with much less finger because it's so pink it kind of overpowers that little insect which I know is the idea for this challenge but means the finished image isn't so interesting. 7

Shame that background image doesn't extend further to the right as the large black area to the top right detracts quite a lot from the otherwise strong image. Great choice to go black and white. 7

Cropped a little too tightly for my tastes. Also comes across as a picture of an object that fit the challenge with no creativity about how to show it, how to add interest above and beyond the appeal of the object itself. 6

Lovely back lighting on larger leaf but the small front one is too much in shadow. I wonder if it would be possible to bounce a touch of light onto that small leaf without losing the backlit effect on the larger? 6

Not keen on background - too much texture of it's own. Like the lady bird on the money box but think a different position might work better - further to the right at either the same height or towards the top of the right most pillar. 7
