Perfect capture of a great pose and with great detail too. Shame about the blowout resulting in loss of detail on the bird's body but still a great image. Nice blurred background too and like the gradiation of dark to light there. 8

This is just so witty and so nicely done. I love the solidity of the pigeon against the blurred motorcyclist. Shame about the blowout on the motorist's jacket but not a big problem. Nice diagonals in the road markings. 8

Best of the close ups, crown not cropped, good angle on face to viewer, stronger composition within the frame (not being centred) and nice clean background with good lighting on subject.

Lighting reasonable, nice background bokeh, of the closeup shots this is my 2nd favourite one as feathered crown not cropped out and nice shape of neck included. Doesn't seem pin sharp though.

I have an image of the same name in my portfolio which is also of a parent bird feeding their chick. This is a nice example of behaviour but doesn't work for me on a visual level. The dark beaks don't show up well against the dark breast of the adult. The foreground colour competes for attention with the subject. The composition isn't particularly attention grabbing. But I do like the subject matter.

Noisy and soft. Horizon very central making for a very heavy feeling composition. Nice idea and nice colour to the sky but quality and composition of image not quite strong enough.
