Wow! Ignoring the halos around the boat silhouette this really is a marvellous shot - I just love the leading line of the anchor and the anchor itself and the way the sun plays on the sand. The sky too is marvellous. This is a beautiful shot!

Lifelines

This really is a masterpiece! It's so stark, so wonderfully high in contrast and so powerful in it's composition too. I really like the sitting figure though the two walkers are of course integral too. Just a fantastic use of light and shadow, a fantastic eye for composition and beautifully executed too. I love it!

Two Lines

Lovely reflections and a sweet rural scene with a lovely line of trees as well as the lovely sweeping curve of the river. The two anglers are really interesting and of course their rods create lines too. Personally I think they are a little too small or too near to the edge of the image - perhaps they fade into the image because it's in black and white? I think I'd like to see more made of them as they are such a great potential focal point.
