Elementalby utroComment: Too shallow DOF in my opinion. In a jewelry ad, I would expect to see the maximum amount of detail. Good composition and interesting lighting. |

Gruenby graphicfunkComment: Nice watch. Good lighting. Would have been nice to photograph this watch at an angle to show the curve. |

Iceby bruskiComment: Good composition and overall lighting. Rotation of the ring makes the picture moer interesting I think. Too shallow DOF however, especially on the front of the ring; would have be nice to see all diamonds in sharp focus. From what I can tell, there seems to have a strong reflection of something white in the main stone. Text is subtle, well done. |

Graceby gudbjargarsonComment: Not enough lit; hard to see what it is (earrings?) and details. Good composition, placing the earrings the way you did is more dynamic. I suspect you placed the earrings on a glass or mirror, which creates a double reflection that is not attractive. |

August - Peridotby dartompkinsComment: Love the composition. Very impresive use of shallow DOF. However, some part of the jewel are not in focus, especially the "V"; it's a bit distractive, especially since this part is dead center. |

We take trade-ins....by ralphComment: Good composition and good use of shalow DOF. Ring is well lit with no blown highlight. Pleasing color balance. However, the shadow casted by the ring is way to strong I think. Maybe having another diffuse light source would have reduce the shadow. |

Swiss Army Watchesby TommyMoe21Comment: nice capture, clean, crisp. Well lit. However, I doubt that the buckle is the most interesting part of that watch. |

Smithsby justinbrookComment: Good lighting; no shadow, no reflection. You should have positioned the hour hand to not obscure the watch maker name. I can't see this picture as an ad with the watch maker name partially blocked. |
