Great idea. I'd move the subject off to the left side more, as that would help emphasize it's uniqueness amongst the grass as well as remove the blade of grass just to its left which I find a little distracting. I'd also remove the vertical blade of grass that crosses over the feather to help isolate the feather a little more.

This is a good composition for minimalism. Some of the "outer" beans seem a little out of focus. A slightly longer depth of field might have helped with that.

This is wonderful. I wish the girl stood out just a wee bit more, but not sure how you would've accomplished that. I'll be disappointed if this doesn't place in the top ten!

The Grain Of Rice

This is a great shot for this challenge. The way you've highlighted the rice really helps it stand out, although it does look just a little forced. Perhaps a softer border between the light and dark would have helped with that. Also, the excess dark background on the left side of the hand is a little distracting. A square crop with a centered composition might have improved this a little. Still a fantastic shot, thouth.
