Carnival in Veniceby FranziskaLangComment: Very intersting subject. Good timing and control of lighting. The background looks a little too separated from the subject as if it was done in post-processing instead of naturally. The edges around the subject look just a little off. |

Pensive Dogby BurgComment: Nice composition and subject. It seems like the focal plane is just a little off, but I like the shallow depth of field. |

wintry walkby xtineComment: Love it! So simple, so subtle, yet so deep. I love the grain -- it really creates the mood here. I like the choice of color, too. |

Skyline, 2005by pawdrixComment: Very cool image. I really like the washed out areas and high contrast. I think it really adds to the mood. |

A great expectation (8th of January 2006)by TOYComment: I like the composition and the message of this. There's something, though, that I can't quite put my finger on that doesn't feel right. It might be that the background tone is not different enough from the left side of her belly, so it doesn't stand out quite as much as I would like. Still a wonderful image, though. |

brook in autumnby U622Comment: Nice choice of subject and composition. A longer shutter speed might have added some more softness to the water and given this a slightly less hard mood. |

This is my lifeby permapierComment: Great candid and very interesting subject. I like the composition and how you've filled the frame with the subject. |

Oil by Waterby xyphotoComment: I like this as an abstract, but I think it might have been better with a tighter crop to emphasize the abstract instead of trying to show the surroundings. Also, it would have been better if you had posted it larger. |

Evening in the Parkby ElaineComment: Nice composition and use of natural framing. It's not quite as sharp as I would like it, though. Perhaps because of having to use a longer shutter speed to compensate for the dark lighting. Also, a tighter crop might have helped a little bit. This framing leaves me wondering a little whether this is a landscape with some ducks in it, or a photo of ducks in their surroundings. It is kind of caught in between the two. |
