Haha! Zig & Henry are both heroes of mine but I don't agree about the vignette. I can't agree, actually, because look at the monster vignettes I use; I put 'em on with an industrial roller! You're nearly subtle by comparison.
The weird thing I have found about vignettes is that they have to be either so light as to be almost undetectable or so heavy as to be unavoidable. Like moms smacking naughty kids (when that was acceptable at all) ... a light slap on the hand was enough to make a point, an almighty belting on the ass was just impossible to argue with, but anything in between was just an exercise in feeble self-indulgence on the part of the parent, and had no lasting effect.

Pingtung Street Market (revisited)by instepsComment: He's had a good year, Henry. Bought a motorbike. Upwardly mobile. Next year the bugger will have an iPad.
It's a very fine photograph typical of your work: quiet craftsmanship in every way. |

4by RKTComment: Holy Smoke! This is wee Anil? I never made the connection at all: I would have missed my guess by half a world. I was thinking that we must have a bright new star from the sub-Continent let loose amongst us. Now that loving craftsmanship falls into place. The quiet sense of fun as well. Cheers, R. It's a bloody beauty. |

Cape Town; somewhere around Greenmarket Square. It was a bit of street theatre. |
