BAKKIEby ubiqueComment: Originally posted by bmartuch: This is very cool. I think it would be better without the vignetting. |

I don't know why I like severe vignettes so much; they're just an affectation when done to this extent, and I know it.
But I actually like the brutality; the uncompromising effect created. In this photograph I was interested in using the preposterously excessive lower edge vignette to mirror the shapes and weights of the background hills. Making the truck (bakkie) become a part of ΓΆ€“ or an echo of ΓΆ€“ the landscape. I did a horse like that once too, though with a less extravagant vignette.

evening roostby mefnjComment: Lovely. Perfect judgement between what is said and what is unsaid ... You've stirred in exactly enough of both, I think. Thank you. |

Laneway Vespaby Karlow75Comment: Must be Melbourne? Well you found exactly the right, and only, point of view to animate the scene, thereby elevating the street art to your own. Thank you. |

Happy Happy Babysundayby TelephantComment: This is wonderful! I hope it's really a selfie, and even if it's not I am going to go on believing that it is. Because I want to.
Thank you. |

The Ticketby hesitantComment: Interesting shot. Havana, I suppose? The hand dangling from the window elevates it beyond the ordinary. Thank you. |

eleganciaby tangueraComment: I was about to bang down a 5 and move on ... but wait ...this is much more substantial than the average amateur glamour shot. More substantial too than a well- above-average amateur glamour shot. It's effortless enough, and without any jarring note, that I think it's a professional's work. Pretty darn nice it is too. Thank you. |

Meet the Lordby GeorgesBogaertComment: Love the photo, but remain sceptical of the attribution. But the picture is certainly inspirational, if not necessarily miraculous. Thank you. |
